Used For
Letrozole 2.5mg Tablets are primarily used for the treatment of hormone receptor-positive breast cancer in postmenopausal women. They may also be prescribed before surgery or after other hormone therapies as recommended by an oncologist.
How It Works
Letrozole belongs to the class of medicines known as aromatase inhibitors. It works by blocking the aromatase enzyme responsible for producing estrogen in the body. Lower estrogen levels help slow or stop the growth of hormone-sensitive breast cancer cells while having minimal effects on other hormone-producing glands.
