🎯 Uses / Indications:
Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) — treats symptoms of an enlarged prostate
Helps relieve urinary symptoms such as:
Difficulty in starting urination
Weak urine stream
Frequent urination (especially at night)
Urgency and incomplete bladder emptying
Sometimes used to help pass kidney stones (ureteral stones)
⚙️ Mechanism of Action:

Tamsulosin relaxes the smooth muscles of the prostate and bladder neck, making it easier to urinate and improving urine flow.

💡 Dosage (General):
1 capsule (0.4 mg) once daily, taken about 30 minutes after the same meal each day
Swallow whole — do not crush, chew, or open the capsule
⚠️ Common Side Effects:
Dizziness or lightheadedness
Headache
Runny/stuffy nose
Weakness or fatigue
Abnormal ejaculation
Low blood pressure (especially on standing)
🚫 Precautions:
Avoid in patients with severe liver impairment
Caution in patients with low blood pressure
May cause dizziness — avoid driving until you know how it affects you
Inform your doctor if undergoing cataract surgery
