# **Lemin Tablets (Levofloxacin)**
## **How It Works**
Lemin contains **Levofloxacin**, a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial DNA replication, ultimately stopping the growth of bacteria and eliminating the infection.
**Note:** Lemin is effective **only against bacterial infections** and should not be used to treat viral illnesses such as the common cold or influenza.
—
## **Indications**
Lemin is indicated for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infections, including respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin, and other infections, as prescribed by your physician.
—
## **Usage & Safety**
### **Prescription Status**
Lemin is a **prescription-only medicine** and should be used strictly under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional.
### **Dosage & Administration**
* Take **once daily**, or exactly as prescribed by your physician.
* Swallow the tablet whole with a **full glass of water**.
* It may be taken **with or without food**.
* Take the medicine at the **same time each day** for the best therapeutic effect.
### **Drug Interactions**
Avoid taking Lemin **within 2 hours before or after** products containing **aluminum, magnesium, calcium, iron, or zinc**, including antacids, multivitamins, and mineral supplements, as these may reduce the absorption and effectiveness of Levofloxacin.
### **Complete the Full Course**
Continue taking the medication for the **entire prescribed duration**, even if you begin to feel better. Stopping treatment too early may allow the infection to return and contribute to **antibiotic resistance**.
—
## **Possible Side Effects**
Lemin is generally well tolerated; however, some patients may experience:
* Nausea
* Diarrhea or constipation
* Headache
* Dizziness
* Difficulty sleeping (insomnia)
These side effects are usually mild and temporary. If they persist or become severe, consult your physician.
—
## **Warnings & Precautions**
* Use Lemin only for **confirmed or strongly suspected bacterial infections**.
* Discontinue the medication and seek immediate medical attention if you experience signs of an allergic reaction, severe diarrhea, tendon pain or swelling, numbness, tingling, or irregular heartbeat.
* Inform your physician if you have a history of **kidney disease, epilepsy, tendon disorders, or heart rhythm abnormalities** before starting treatment.
* Avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight or UV light during therapy, as Levofloxacin may increase **photosensitivity**.
—
## **Storage Instructions**
Store below **30°C** in a cool, dry place, protected from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
